Give your money notice.

Holdout keeps your savings behind rules you choose: a notice period, a lock date, a limit on withdrawals. A bad afternoon can't undo months of saving. When your rules say it's time, the money is yours again.

  • No fees to save or withdraw
  • Only you can move your money
  • Sign in with Face ID or fingerprint

Why Holdout

Saving is easy. Keeping it saved is the hard part.

Most savings accounts are one tap away from your checking account. That's convenient, until the day it isn't. Holdout puts a little distance, of your choosing, between wanting your money and having it.

01

Friction, on purpose

A pause between asking and receiving gives you time to be sure. Most impulses don't survive a two-week wait.

02

Rules you choose

You decide how strict each goal is: a notice period, a lock date, a withdrawal limit, or any mix of the three.

03

Rules nobody can bend

Once a rule is set it's enforced automatically. No override button, no exception process. Not for you, and not for us.

How it works

Four steps from “I should save” to money that stays saved.

Set it up in a few minutes. After that, the rules do the remembering for you.

  1. 1

    Create your account

Sign up with a passkey, using Face ID, Touch ID or your fingerprint. There's no password to remember and nothing to write down.

  2. 2

Make a goal and set its rules

Name what you're saving for and choose how it's protected: how much notice you need, whether it's locked until a date, and how often you can withdraw.

  3. 3

    Add money whenever you like

Top up any goal at any time, with no fees and no minimum balance to keep.

Every deposit comes with a 24-hour change-your-mind window. Reverse it in full, no questions asked. After that, your rules apply.
  4. 4

    Ask, wait, withdraw

When you need money out, request it. Once your notice period is up (and any lock date has passed), withdraw it back to your account. Changed your mind while waiting? Cancel the request.

Savings rules

Three rules. Use one, or stack all three.

Each goal can have its own rules. When a goal has more than one, every rule has to be met before money comes out. Try them below.

Notice period

Ask for your money, then wait out the notice you chose, from one day up to a year. Time to be sure, built in.

Ask today, yours on

Lock date

Nothing leaves the goal before a date you pick, up to five years out. Made for a house, a wedding, or a rainy day that isn't today.

Unlocks on

Withdrawal limit

Cap how many withdrawals you can make in each period, so one withdrawal doesn't quietly turn into five.

6 tries this month1 allowed

Rules only ever get stricter

You can tighten a goal at any time: a longer notice, a later date, fewer withdrawals. You can never loosen or remove a rule. That's what makes it a promise and not a suggestion.

A window to change your mind

Every deposit can be reversed in full for 24 hours after you make it, whatever the goal's rules. Once that window closes, the rules take over, with no early-exit fee and no exceptions.

Security and control

Your money stays in your hands.

Holdout is built so that we never hold your money. We can't move it, spend it or change your rules.

Only you can move it

Your savings sit in an account that you alone control. Holdout has no access to your funds and no ability to withdraw, redirect or change anything on your behalf.

Passkeys, not passwords

You sign in with a passkey protected by Face ID, Touch ID or your fingerprint. There's no password to leak or phish, and it can back up to iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager.

Withdrawals only come back to you

Money leaving a goal can only go to the account it came from. It can't be sent to anyone else, and that includes us.

Plain about the trade-offs

Because we can't touch your account, we can't recover it either. If you lose your passkey and every device it syncs to, access is gone. Keep passkey backup switched on.

Pricing

Free to save. Free to withdraw.

FAQ

Questions, answered straight.

Can't find what you need? Email support@locklogistics.net and a real person will reply.

Is Holdout a bank?

No. Holdout is software that enforces savings rules you choose. Balances in Holdout are not bank deposits, are not insured by the FDIC or any other scheme, and don't earn interest.

Can I get my money out early in an emergency?

Only within a deposit's 24-hour change-your-mind window. After that, money comes out when your rules allow and not before. There's no emergency button and no fee you can pay to skip the wait, and our support team can't override it either.

That's the point of Holdout, so please only lock away money you won't need before your rules let you have it.

Can I change a goal's rules later?

Yes, but only to make them stricter. You can lengthen a notice period, push a lock date later, or allow fewer withdrawals. You can never shorten, loosen or remove a rule.

What happens if I lose my phone?

Your passkey can be backed up by your phone's password manager (iCloud Keychain on iPhone, Google Password Manager on Android). With backup on, sign in on your new phone and everything is where you left it.

If you lose your passkey and every device and account it syncs to, we can't recover access. We don't hold a copy, and that's what keeps your money out of anyone else's reach.

Can Holdout see or touch my money?

We can see what the app needs to show you, such as your goals and balances. We can't move, withdraw or redirect your money, and we can't change your rules. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what we collect and why.

How much does it cost?

Holdout doesn't charge to create goals, deposit, hold or withdraw. Payment partners may charge their own fees when you add or cash out money, and those are shown before you confirm.

Does my money earn interest?

No. Holdout doesn't lend, invest or pool your money. It stays exactly where you put it, which also means it isn't growing while it waits.

Who is behind Holdout?

Holdout is built and operated by Lock Logistics LLC, a small company based in Rogersville, Tennessee. You can reach us any time at support@locklogistics.net.

How do I delete my account?

Withdraw your money first, then request deletion from the Account tab in the app or by emailing support. Section 9 of the Privacy Policy covers what's deleted and what can't be.
